'Isaiah and the whole collective grew up learning the repertoire of “My Funny Valentine”. As a jazz musician this song is one of the first arrangements you learn so everyone was immediately drawn to performing & recording it. They were honored to perform and interpolate classic jazz songs while adding on talented vocalists from their NY art/music community. They saw this release as the perfect opportunity to create a marriage between the instrumentalists and the vocalists and to let each talent shine in its own way. Nick Hakim is one of the group’s long-time supporters and friends.
