Eighth album and first in nearly thirty years from the UK new wave/post-punk band that has been cited as an influence and/or been covered by The Killers, R.E.M, Annie Lennox, The Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, KORN, and even Bob Dylan. Lead single "Don't Believe" received coverage from Stereogum ["the kind of gratifying reintroduction that comes right from the Furs’ wheelhouse"], Consequence Of Sound, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Paste, Brooklyn Vegan, and many others. Their last album World Outside [1991] contained the the single "Until She Comes," which hit #1 on the Billboard "Modern Rock Tracks" chart. Their song "Pretty In Pink" inspired the John Hughes cult classic film of the same name, and more recently "Love My Way" was used in the film "Call Me By Your Name," and "The Ghost In You" was used in the Netflix series "Stranger Things." The Furs will perform Made of Rain in its entirety ― as well as a selection of hits ― at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 14.
