Her 2020 cover of Leonard Cohen's "Avalanche" served as the title track from the HBO true-crime documentary series “I’ll Be Gone in the Dark.” Her previous full-length Mental Illness [2017], which won the Grammy for "Best Folk Album" and received acclaim from Pitchfork, New York Times, Consequence, Rolling Stone, Uncut, Mojo, Paste, Boston Globe, Q, and other publications. Her tracks have received 100M+ streams. She was named one of the world's ten greatest living songwriters by NPR in 2006. She earned Academy Award and Grammy Award nominations for "Save Me," one of eight contributions she made to the soundtrack to 1999 Paul Thomas Anderson film "Magnolia."
