Second single from The Long Road North [out Feb 11], the eighth album from the Umeå, Sweden sludge, progressive, and doom metal band. Follows EP The Raging River [2021], which was called “devastatingly heavy” and “monstrously huge” by Kerrang! and “phenomenal” by Distorted Sound. Decibel counted A Dawn to Fear [2019, #8 “UK Rock”] among the 100 best metal albums of the decade. Further praise from Metal Injection [“a sound that is absolutely unique… the overwhelming beauty of their craft is insane”]. The new album will feature guest appearances from Mariam Wallentin of Wildbirds and Peacedrums, composer Colin Stetson [The Arcade Fire, Bon Iver] and guitarists Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz of French pop-rock band Phoenix. Cult of Luna will tour Europe with Alcest in February and March.
