Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode covers a track from the acclaimed Danish duo's debut mini-album Whip It On [2002]. The second preview of The Raveonettes Presents: Rip It Off, a forthcoming 20th anniversary tribute album that also features contributions from MØ, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Trentemøller feat. DíSA, and Eagles Of Death Metal. Confirmed promotion on BBC Radio 6, KEXP. The Raveonettes, who had been on hiatus since 2018, returned to touring in 2022, performing their Whip It On in full at various festivals throughout the summer and they will be touring in November. The band has issued seven albums via Columbia, Vice, and their own Beat Dies imprint, all charting Top 20 in Denmark. Their 2016 "Rave-Sound-Of-The-Month" singles series [collected on the "anti-album" 2016 Atomized] received coverage from SPIN, NPR, Stereogum, Noisey, Nylon, Brooklyn Vegan, Q.Their music has been featured on “The OC,” “CSI,” “True Blood,” "True Detective," "Halt and Catch Fire," “Gossip Girl,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Lucifer.”
