앨범 정보

지난 앨범 <THE WORLD OF US>가 서울숲에 대한 이야기였다면, 이번 앨범 <CONCRETE FOREST>는 서울숲을 둘러싼 아파트 숲에 대한 이야기이다. 201.. 202.. 203.. 이번 앨범의 트랙은 똑같이 생긴 콘크리트 건물의 동, 호수처럼 줄줄이 늘어서 있다. 그러나 일견 같아 보이는 건물 안의 사람들은 저마다 다른 생각을 하고, 또 다른 감정을 녹여내고 있지 않을까? 규칙적인 반복은 때로 효율적인 결과를 만들어 내지만, 그 이면에는 목적을 위해 개성을 숨기고 소진된 영혼이 있다. 이번 앨범에는 내가 그 틈에서 찾아낸 서울의 여러 얼굴을 담았다.
My last album <THE WORLD OF US> was about Seoul Forest, and now I have my new album <CONCRETE FOREST>, to talk about apartment buildings surrounding Seoul Forest. Those continuous numbers, 201.. 202.. 203.. were used as titles of the tracks, which implies those numbers of same-looking concrete buildings and rooms inside, aligned endlessly, row after row. However, those people living there, even though they are living in those duplicated spaces, aren’t they all thinking differently, and accumulating their own sentiments? Regulative, relentless repetition sometimes creates ideal efficiency. But right behind that glowing side, we witness an exhausted soul, sacrificing its own character for the glorious goal. I have collected Seoul city’s varying aspects between those discrepancies for this album.

규칙적이고, 반복적인 서울의 단상. 높은 효율에 의한 멋진 결과.
하지만, 소진된 인간의 영혼은 다소 슬프다.
This is Seoul, repetitive, regulative and efficient city, generating glorified achievement.
But still, there are people left around, exhausted.
Hurt souls, painful to gaze at.
