지휘자 로니 그론달(Launy Grøndahl)과 그가 지휘하는 덴마크 방송 교향악단(The Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra) 선집 아홉 번째 컬렉션.
덴마크 클래식의 아버지로 불리는 요한 페테르 에밀리우스 하르트만(J.P.E. Hartmann)의 잘 알려지지 않은 오케스트라 작품들을 들려준다. 하르트만의 영향은 그의 제자 카를 닐센(Carl Nielsen)을 거쳐 포울 셔베크(Poul Schierbeck)까지 이어지는데 그가 작곡한 교향곡(Symphony No. 1, Op. 15)과 칸타타(Constitution Cantata, Op. 55)를 수록했다.
또한 나치 점령기에 작곡된 덴마크의 암울한 시기에 덴마크의 정신을 담은 옌스 라우르쇤 엠보르(Jens Laursøn Emborg)의 칸타타(Jens Laursøn Emborg: Our Mother Earth, Op. 91)도 만나 볼 수 있다.
