They gathered up the dust and other fragments
From the corners of the room
It was all that as left to do
What do we do, what do we make anymore
Now that the we have suffered through all the changes
That their ideas have forced upon us
They sidle around with their bits and pieces
Asking inane questions and what they know they yell everyone
It doesn’t amount too much
She told me once that I should forget
I tried
Mystical wisdom from earthly things is not a truth
But, I’m amongst these falling things
Who in God’s name do they think they are?
That they trammel upon each other and each other’s God
They are us, but the wisp of the wind balances the curd
Like lemons in the trees
I care about the bees that suckle on the flowers that bear them
Spreading the nectar around the land
