Jayde's upcoming debut EP is called "sad songs about sad things'" “Everything on this project stems from a very vulnerable place. These songs are all just fragments of the same situation. I had the title long before I had most of the songs. I have always resonated with sad songs the most. On other albums of artists I look up to, the sad songs were my favourites. Im a sucker for a good song to cry to, and more so, songs you can dance, and cry to. I knew that I wanted my first EP to be called “sad songs about sad things” because I knew that I wanted to project to be just that… sad songs about sad things. I wanted to make something that both, embraced the sadness, while simultaneously reminding us that as much as happiness can be a fleeting moment, so is every other emotion and feeling. What I mean by this, is some day we will forget why we were sad, what we were worried about, what kept us up at night. “sad songs about sad things” embraces the sadness, in hopes that we are closing that chapter and moving forward to a new array of emotions and experiences.” - Jayde
