‘Melancholic Weekends’ is a reflection of DEON’s feelings while he was nursing his old dog Joy, who had to be let go due to organ failure from old age. Having to cope with emotions of loss and grief, the track is DEON’s way of processing them in the only way he knows. It is also the third single from a new EP by DEON, scheduled for release in March 2022.
