Eight-track concert release by the jam band supergroup which includes founding Grateful Dead guitarist/vocalist Bobby Weir, bassist/producer Don Was [Was (Not Was), Blue Note Records president], drummer Jay Lane [Primus, Les Claypool], keyboardist Jeff Chimenti [Grateful Dead, Dead & Company], and pedal steel guitarist Greg Leisz [Eric Clapton, Beck, Emmylou Harris, many others]. They are also joined by the string and brass quintet Wolfpack. The album contains renditions of Dead songs like "Looks Like Rain," "New Speedway Boogie.," and "West L.A. Fadeaway," Bob Weir's recent solo cut "Only A River," and covers of songs by Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. Bob Weir will be touring with Dead & Company will be performing at the Playing in the Sand Festival in Cancun, Mexico and four nights at the John F.
