Haru Nemuri’s new EP “INSAINT” will be released on September 29th (Fri). It includes the 6 songs. All the 6 songs of this work named “INSAINT” are recorded with the band constituted by the guitars, drums, bass and vocals, and the programming and synths are not much used. The sound of it is unified on the genres categorized into Punk, Hardcore and Rock and you can say that it’s the characteristics more than just genre-categorization, when taking into account the way of her previous works.
When Haru Nemuri was asked what kind of genres her music belonged to, she has answered ‘Punk’, ‘Hardcore’ and ‘Rock’ especially since releasing her first full-length album “Haru to Shura” (2019), but her music actually has crossed among a wide variety of sounds as musical genres. In contrast, she intended to compose this work in the sound of the genres of ‘Punk’ and ‘Hardcore’ itself.
“Haru to Shura” was a masterpiece that was evaluated highly that was ranked in the 30th around the world in 2019 on one of the American hugest online encyclopedia of music releases called RATE YOUR MUSIC. Since then, Haru Nemuri has gotten more listeners all over the world. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it’d been difficult for musicians to do the tour overseas so she performed for some famous online shows like ‘SXSW Online’, ‘Midem’ and ‘Live on KEXP’.
